The solution is to disable indexing, each time a different operating system is booted, the indexing system starts to re-index each drive. Dual boot with 7 & 10 has been problematic. CHKDSK discovered free space marked as allocated in the master file table (MFT) bitmap. I am still using Windows 7 as my main OS.
